Business Analyst / Junior Project Manager – Alternative Asset Private Wealth Products
Global Alternative Asset Manager seeks a Business Analyst to support the firms growing demand for products from high-net worth and retail investors.
Position Responsibilities
• Collaborating with the Private Wealth Americas Team to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business needs and objectives
• Collecting and documenting crucial business requirements for projects, including the design of new reports and the development of streamlined workflows and processes
• Proactively managing vendor relationships with Transfer Agents, Fund Administrators and digital service providers / platforms (e.g., DST, iCapital, +Subscribe, CAIS)
• Ensuring comprehensive documentation and maintenance of all critical Investor Services business processes to support operational efficiency
• Identifying, communicating, and tracking key achievements, action items and potential issues to ensure timely completion
Qualifications & Experience:
• 7+ years of financial industry experience; 3+ years of relevant experience in the Alternative Asset Management industry
• Private Credit Experience highly preferred especially BDC’s
• Expertise in business analysis and project management, demonstrating the ability to drive projects to successful completion
• Knowledge of the investor lifecycle, including onboarding, maintenance and wind-down procedures of alternative investment funds
• Experience working closely with technology / service provider vendors
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with an ability to adapt to changing business needs
• Highly proficient in Excel including creating ad hoc complex reports from scratch.

Market Data Business Analyst
Global asset Manager seeks an experienced Market Data Operations Analyst to assist in the improvement of data management processes. Responsibilities include: Monitoring, researching and reviewing complex security and market data to resolve data exceptions and recommend changes, escalating discrepancies, and improving market data quality; Conducting data and business process analysis to identify and create requirements and solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability to implement streamlined workflows; Liaising with data vendors, custodians, and fund administrators to source and maintain accurate market data within the firm’s ecosystem.
Qualifications include:
3-8 years of experience within Financial Services.
Excellent data management skills and knowledge of various data sets, including security master data, pricing data, corporate actions, index levels, holdings, transactions, index constituents, performance data, security analytics.
Exceptional analytical skills and some proficient in SQL preferred.
Business analysis experiences to gather business requirements and create document requirements for developers.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Reinsurance Claims Specialist with a focus on execution, and meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in Casualty reinsurance claims and possess strong analytical and reporting skills. Expertise in data processing and quality control is essential. This role is vital to our reinsurance operations, ensuring that claims are processed accurately, promptly, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Large Loss Reporting to the Markets:
• Assist in identification and reporting of large losses to reinsurers.
• Collaborate with the claims team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Calculate nets to the company and monitor large loss settlements and recoveries.
• Work closely with the finance team to reconcile reinsurance accounts.
• Address any discrepancies or issues with reinsurers.
Reinsurance Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation and loss run reports for reinsurers submission in renewals.
• Ensure compliance with reinsurance agreements and reporting requirements.
• Conduct thorough reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports on claims performance.
• Provide insights and analysis on claims trends and metrics.
Claims Audits by Reinsurers:
• Support the reinsurance audits of claims data and processes.
• Assist in addressing audit findings and support the implementation of corrective actions as needed.
TPA & Direct Data Quality:
• Collaborate with TPA Services and Starr Claim Managers to ensure quality and accuracy of data provided by third-party administrators (TPAs) and in-house adjustors.
• Implement data validation and reconciliation processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARe) preferred.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in reinsurance claims management, with a deep understanding of large loss reporting, reinsurance reporting, and audits.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance agreements, terms, and conditions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in reinsurance software and reporting tools (XLS, SQL, Power BI preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong data process acumen and quality control experience.

This position will be responsible for tracking and recording approvals and payments, along with monthly reconciliations to the financial statements. Organization will be key in this role, as tracking all payments and cash receipts in a timely manner will be crucial. In addition, this position will be responsible for reviewing, recording, and paying employee expense reimbursements, as well as helping assist in additional areas as needed, including but not limited to intercompany transactions, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, etc.
What You'll Be Responsible For:

Reconciliation for AR and ensure cash receipts are received and booked in a timely manner
Review and approve employee expense reimbursements and corporate card transactions
Monthly credit card reconciliation
Monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities
Maintain fixed asset schedule and book monthly depreciation
Maintain prepaid expense schedule and book monthly amortization
Calculate and record accrued income and expenses
Assist in recording and categorizing financial transactions, including investments, expenses, and revenue, in our accounting system
Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation
Provide support for audits and internal reviews, and assist in the preparation of required documentation and schedules

The candidate should have qualities to understand the operations groups' internal applications (Security Master, Front End Platform, Accounting System, and Reporting Tool). A good understanding on the synchronization and workflow of the different applications used within the operations group day to day is a must. Due to the volatile nature of this business and rapid technological improvements, the candidate would also be required to participate in testing phases during implementations and integrations of their internal applications and processes. While the major role of this candidate would be Security Master and Reference data management, a good understanding of the entire operational workflow process is recommended.
